Garlic & Herbs

Okanogan Country has just the right climate for growing all varieties of garlic from mild to hot and small to large. Here you can sample garlic that you’ll never see in a supermarket. Be sure to take a basket of your favorites home with you.

Strolling through an herb garden or a lavender field just before harvest is a heady and beautiful experience! Pick some fresh herbs and be amazed at the difference they make in your dishes. Or, take home a bunch fragrant lavender to remind you of your visit to Okanogan Country.

The King's Garden has relocated to the Methow Valley. We're organically farming the old Frank O. Furford homestead along the Methow River, 4 miles south of Twisp on the Twisp-Carlton Road. We've grown organic produce and plants in the Okanogan Valley in Ellisford since 1993. Our nursery offers ornamental and fruit trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, baskets, and organic vegetable, raspberry, strawberry and herb starts. We specialize in organic heirloom vegetables with over 35 varieties of tomatoes plus melons, cucumbers, peppers, summer and winter squash, an array of root crops, greens, carrots, eggplant, leeks, shallots, onions, cabbage family, corn, beans, fresh herbs and more. You'll find us at the local farmer's markets where we sell our plants and produce, our own organic herbal tea blends, capsules, tinctures, health and beauty products as well as organic jams and pickled vegetables. We have organic gourmet CSAs available. Call or visit us at the farm! Open May 12 to October 31.
