We LOVE Methow Suites! And now we're in love with the town of Twisp!
Bill and Sandy are two of the best hosts you can ever have at a B&B. Their knowledge of the Methow Valley, Twisp, and the people of Twisp is unparalleled. Ask them to talk a little bit about Bill's career as a smoke jumper - and you'll have some fascinating stories!
Every breakfast was amazing, featuring local fare, and recipes passed down for at least a generation (or three). It was so special to come home to the mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and evening snacks that Sandy left out for us throughout the day.
Their house was immaculate, and well designed for a B&B. The beds were comfortable (making for perfect night-time sleepy-time), the chairs were very "loungy" (making for perfect day-time sleepy-time), and the carpet felt good under the toes, especially after a long day skiing the Loup!
The living space was comfy/cozy with amazing panoramic views of the valley. We came in the winter (with 18" of snow on the ground), and couldn't really take advantage of the deck which afforded even better views - but that gives us a reason to come back in the summer!
But... because there were 18" of snow on the ground - their driveway/street made for possibly one of the best sledding hills in the land - one which our children spent hours on every day.
Twisp and the surrounding areas had so many fun things to do: skiing (the Loup - only 20 minutes away), ice-skating, sledding, and was walking distance to town. The town of Twisp is a surprising gem that blew us away. You have to go to the Glover Street Market and check out its amazing downstairs wine-cellar with tastings on Saturday.
The Methow Suites is a wonderful B&B that we can't wait to visit in each of the other three seasons (next stop - Spring!)
Thank you Bill & Sandy for a great time!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andree H.Seattle, WA12711130Jun 27, 2012
I drove to the east side of the mountains on impulse and had been thinking of camping - however the rain was pounding harder there than in Seattle! I started calling around and was referred to the Methow Valley Suites.
The room I stayed in has french doors leading onto a nice bit of lawn which leads into the local hills where deer roam. I could hear all the birds in the morning when I was wakened by the natural light of day.
Our breakfast began with homemade applesauce and was followed by local sausage, scrambled eggs and delicious crepes. The coffee just kept coming!
I hope to stay there again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charlene L.Davenport, WA421Mar 3, 2017
Friendly, clean, cozy and a great view of the valley from our room. The room was very nice and the bed comfy. We had our own sitting area (living room) which also had a beautiful view of the valley. Sandy and Bill are gracious hosts making sure you have all you need and much much more. Sandy made an amazing breakfast of chicken quiche, homemade applesauce with a hint of apricots, blueberry muffins and fruit. The coffee was locally roasted and delicious. I highly recommend the Methow Suites Bed and Breakfast!

Both Sandy and Bill were very gracious hosts. From the moment we arrived at this friendly B&B until we said goodbye, they were helpful and kind. It's the kind of place where you can arrive as a stranger and leave feeling like a friend. The rooms are cozy and private. We stayed in a room with a comfortable bed and rocking chair. We also had access to a balcony. We thought it was interesting that they will book either couples or families, but not both at the same time. That way couples are guaranteed a quiet getaway, or families will have the entire place to themselves. Breakfast was delicious with a good balance between healthy fare and good ol' sumptuous carbs. My favorite was probably the homemade pancakes with pear sauce. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay there, and we would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast!

I was in town for work, and had a travel day that was nothing short of wretched, resulting in me pulling into the driveway sometime around midnight. Sandy was incredibly understanding, stayed in touch with me as my flights and connections kept getting delayed, and was there with a very warm welcome when I finally showed up in the dark of night. She got me set up for some late night ironing pronto, the bed was wunderbar, and it was a lovely quiet home and setting (no unexpected trains, dogs, etc). And breakfast, seriously, I cannot rave enough about the breakfast. The locally sourced sausage was to die for, the fruit perfectly ripe, the zucchini bread and frittata swoon worthy. It fueled me throughout the rest of my very busy day. She is a treasure, this home is fab, Sandy knows everyone and everything about the area. So, DO stay here if you are in the area, and you will not regret it.
