Balloons fly year 'round in Okanogan Country. Morning flights are the norm. If you truly want to become a "balloonatic", be sure to see Winthrop's annual Balloonfest. Fifteen to twenty of these colorful aircraft all gather to fly from Winthrop the first weekend in March. A "must see" event for anyone with a camera.
