Hot air balloons fly year 'round in Okanogan Country. Morning flights are the norm. If you truly want to become a "balloonatic", be sure to see Winthrop's annual Balloon Round-Up. Fifteen to twenty of these colorful balloons all gather to fly from Winthrop the first weekend in March. This annual balloon festival features a target competition and a romantic evening Balloon Glow. A "must see" event for anyone with a camera!
