Okanogan County Washington: Open for Adventure!

What to do

Road Biking

Okanogan country is well known for it’s awesome mountain biking, however what many do not realize is that the dry warm weather, varied terrain and quiet roads make Okanogan Country an ideal road biking destination. There are multiple trips that can be as flat or as steep (or even steeper) as you want, with alpine terrain to dry farmland, from an hour to an all day ride.

If you have a cyclo-cross bike then there are literally hundreds of miles of available forest roads, which can take you from the Methow Valley to the Okanogan without seeing tarmac!

Refueling opportunities are plentiful and of good quality, with several bike shops available for technical support or ride advice. Post-ride food options are also varied and of good quality, whatever your tastes.

Next time you visit Okanogan Country, bring your road bike and we’ll see you on the road!
