What to do
Thrilling watersports abound in Okanogan Country! Enjoy boating over 200 miles of lakes, reservoirs, and rivers. North Central Washington is home to over three hundred lakes and six major rivers. With so many locations to choose from, you could spend an entire week water skiing, jet skiing, sail boarding, knee boarding, canoeing, kayaking, pleasure boating, sailing, swimming, floating…without seeing the same shoreline twice - the possibilities are endless!
Enjoy boat races, festivals, hydroplanes, and even a Bin Boat Regatta – in the most idyllic settings in the country. Spend the day paddling crystal clear waterways under sunny blue skies, and then enjoy a picnic on the beach under snow capped mountains, or camp under a starry sky.
Scenic Lake Osoyoos is hailed as one of the warmest lakes in the state. The Osoyoos State Park borders the south end of the lake and offers camping, picnicking, bathrooms, vendors and boat access, as do many other state parks in North Central WA. With almost 2000 acres of camping space and 15 miles of waterfront, Okanogan Country’s state parks are a perfect choice for weekend water sport fun!
