What to do
Okanogan Country’s scenic winters and seemingly unending days of sunshine intensify snow experiences. North
Cascades has some of the most spectacular scenery and best skiing and snowboarding conditions known to man. A
wide panorama of snowy surfaces indulges every wintry whim: High alpine slopes with open chutes, river side
groomed trails through aspen thickets, powdery telemarking slopes, and gentle bunny hills with scenic vistas.
Take the rope tow up the slope for a fun day of tubing, or how about ice skating on an old-fashioned, outdoor
ice skating rink! Experience an invigorating snowshoe trek through the woods with an experienced naturalist.
Connect all the groomed trails and ski town-to-town on the second largest, and stunningly beautiful, trail
system in the United States! Historic lodges, ski and rental shops, classic dining, and warm brew pubs
create a fun après ski evening! Okanogan Country has it all: hundreds of miles of groomed ski trails,
sno-parks, alpine skiing, htu-to-hut skiing, heli-skiing, snowboarding, Nordic, cross country skiing, tubing, snowshoeing,
and snowmobiling. With winter festivals, races, and celebrations, Okanogan Country is a hot spot of fun
during the cold winter months.
The Loup Loup Ski Bowl, located between Twisp and Okanogan near the summit of the Loup Loup Pass, offers Alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing and tubing for all ages, a fantastic hill with 1,240 vertical feet and a quad chair lift. Not only does the Loup have great ski runs for the advanced or beginning skier, there are great tubing runs & rentals for the whole family to enjoy. Another 46 km of groomed trails are at the Loup Loup’s South Summit Sno-Park.
The main lodge provides a panoramic view of the ski runs and offers lunch at the snack bar. The Loup Loup Ski Bowl and the U.S. Forest Service work together to provide you quality recreation, so ski the Loup, JUST FOR FUN!
