Ice Skating

Twirling figures glide over a smooth frozen rink, skating under a clear blue winter sky. Mugs of hot steamy chocolate and spiced cookies warm the fingers and toes. Late at night a blazing bonfire nearby is ringed with friends toasting marshmallows, a wintry sing-a-long fills the cold night air with warmth. Anyway you look at it, Okanogan Country is a great place to try old-fashioned, outdoor ice skating. In Winthrop, there's a beautiful groomed rink right next to the Methow River. Skates are available to rent at Sun Mountain Lodge, Winthrop Mountain Sports, and at the ice rink in Winthrop.
