Nordic Ski Areas
Okanogan Country has the largest groomed Nordic ski trail system in the US with 300 km of groomed Nordic ski trails. Ski town-to-town on the second largest (and stunningly beautiful) trail system in the United States. More

 

Alpine Ski/Board Hill

North Cascades has some of the most spectacular scenery and best skiing and snowboarding conditions known to man. A wide panorama of snowy surfaces indulge every wintry whim. Historic lodges, ski and rental shops. More Alpine Skiing / More SnowBoarding


Snowmobile Sno Parks
More than 600 miles of trails suitable for snowmobiling wind through state and federal forests and across highland meadows, with access through 15 snoparks (large plowed lots, permit required). Before heading out, always check with www.parks.wa.gov for current info, permits, conditions. Directions to SnoParks and maps for each.


Heli-Ski
Within our 300,000-acre permit area on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, North Cascade Heli can access a vast number of runs starting at altitudes between 7,000 to 9,000 feet. The vertical drop on our designated runs ranges from 1,500 feet to 4,000 feet. The terrain is an amazing potpourri of open bowls, steep glades and excellent tree skiing surrounded by immense granite cliffs and spires. More

 

Snowshoe
Snowshoeing is an incredible opportunity for winter fun. It’s easy, accessible, and anyone can try it and enjoy it on the first day! For families, this is a great way to get out there and explore the beauty of winter for a wide range of ages and abilities. If you have smaller children, consider renting a pulk to tow the small ones along! More


Ice Skating & Sport Rink
&Sports Rink is an outdoor facility within walking distance to town. In the winter months it is used for ice-related sports such as skating, hockey, and broomball. The ice is groomed daily and is open when the temperatures cooperate! More

Winter Fishing
Enjoy a winter ice angling vacation in Washington by catching species like walleye, steelhead, crappie and more. The state’s winter fisheries are generally open November through March (and some year-round) providing you plenty of opportunities to catch your favorite winter game fish. Take your ice fishing gear and relish Okanogan Country’s scenery, from snow-capped forest lands and picturesque sunsets, as you wait for that big bite. Always go to the State Dept. of Fish and Wildlife for current regulations and restrictions. More
