Camaray Motel

we stayed there the past 8 years , new managers this year. Room has broken bed one side , stained carpet and bed spread. the smoke detector was missing and resident next door said his had no batteries, he advised manager second day and nothing done. The residents who live there should be in different part as a guest u walk to your room stepping over pans , chairs and junk outside their rooms. Asked for towels 4 days ? Wife of manager said problems with housekeepers.
this has gone down hill, very dirty and unsafe !!!!

​I got stuck at the border about a year ago on Christmas Eve when my covid test expired before I could get across into Canada. The weather was terrible that night and I had nowhere to go so I stayed here. The owners were extremely friendly and the room was cheap, clean, and very large. It's an older place so you won't get a fancy room. What you will get are tremendously friendly staff, a clean room with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The staff who work at the motel actually help me find a place that was open on Christmas day for covid testing. I was able to get a replacement test done and get into Canada the next day. I would definitely stay here again if I I ran into border problems in the future.

First off, this place is great. The owners have their heads screwed on straight when it comes to considering their guests. From ice scrapers with snow brushes hanging right in front of parking spots to a fast Level 2 charger for electric cars at the end of one building, to comfortable beds, they have it nailed. And the price is right, especially if you start checking prices of places just across the border to the north.
Second, they are friendly and accommodating on a level that surpasses most hoteliers.
We had a great night's sleep and will be back!

SERVPRO OF TRI CITYS will definitely consider coming to this Motel again. The staff here are awesome super outgoing and enjoyable people to talk to. We came out here to help them out with an issue they had and they were nothing but polite and awesome with us. Never had we been to oroville but we are considering to come again and stay here in camaray motel once again but not to work but for a vacation very much needed. THANK YOU STAFF IN CAMARAY MOTEL!!!!!!!

Extremely upset with service. Called and made a reservation. Gave email, then no confirmation within a few days. Called back to change date of our stay to middle of the following week and they said they could. Asked for a ground floor room if now available and they said yes no problem. Told them we never got the email so we gave them the email address again and they said it matched and to check spam folder. Which we had already done. Still no confirmation. Called back a few days later and manager told us no worries as we are reserved and not sure why no confirmation yet. Although she did mention the damn spam folder again. So as I was concerned I called the day before today just to make sure as still no confirmation and talked with someone else. I had him read back the email and of course they had thrown in an extra letter to make it not work. We had already given them the email a few times and they said it was correct. Get here today and we are on the second floor. So with my back and knee injury I have to lug a bunch upstairs now. Front desk lady Kim just said "its not in your notes. Sorry. ". Also lobby smells like something died in there. Online says pool available yet there hasn't been one available for some time with no idea when it will be fixed. Only happy part was a dvd player and an actual clean room. Which I honestly was not expecting by this point. So kudos to good housekeeping. Only reason I didn't score a one star or less. Super dissatisfied. Also, just went down to the soda machine to grab something and the machine is an old broke down looking unplugged relic that doesn't work. This place is getting worse and worse.

I had a great stay a few weeks ago at the Camaray. The wonderful couple who own it go far above the call of duty. They did everything imaginable to ensure a pleasant visit for guests. The room was clean and comfortable, and a bargain.

Your standard roadside motel. Room, pool, etc were all clean. Nice extras like chairs on the balcony. The management and staff are all very nice and conscientious. We would stay here again.

This place looks old but it's clean and huge room. I love that they pay attention to detail when it comes to efficiency. Price is pretty descent too. Can't complain of anything.

Great little place at the border. Dog friendly and a couple of excellent restaurants directly across the street. Inexpensive, clean, quiet.

We got stuck in the area unexpectedly due to weather, and this motel was so helpful and accommodating! Very clean, inexpensive rooms. Graham at the front desk was lovely in helping us find places within walking distance for dinner and breakfast, and just ensuring we were comfortable overall. What started off as a very stressful day was eased greatly by his helpfulness and positive attitude. We will be making another trip to Oroville in the coming weeks, and plan to stay here again!
