Shady Pines Resort

Been coming for years. Great relaxing place. Small lake and quiet. Not often are there jet ski's or powerful boats which is nice. Would like to see them not allowed but that's my opinion. The resort is small and I like it that way. Haven't had any bad experiences over the years and we always come back. The owners are very nice.

This was a wonderful and relaxing out of the way place to stay. Everything about it was quiet and peaceful and I and my wife loved being there. It is not fancy but clean and affordable with coffee maker stove utensils etc all provided, in a beautiful setting. Too many people seem to think traveling and camping is staying in a space age RV with satellite tv. I enjoyed every moment here and will be looking forward to return visit.

We were actually staying at a friend's cabin next to the resort, and my interaction with the staff was so positive I felt I had to leave a review praising them. We ended up renting a boat and buying some supplies from them, both for very reasonable rates, and when we realized we forgot salad dressing for dinner, went to their little store to see what they had. They didn't have any to sell, but went back to their own personal fridge and got some for us. It was completely unnecessary and unexpected, especially since we weren't actually staying at their resort. As for the resort itself, the location was perfect, scenery fantastic. It was quiet and everybody there seemed to be having a great time, laughing, eating, bon fire-ing, etc. It had a good ol' family feel to it, and I would highly recommend checking out this place!
