Conconully Reservoir

Conconully Reservoir offers stiff competition to the “upper” lake as the trout fishing is excellent on this larger body of water. There are so many great facilities right on the water that it is one of the top destinations for anglers in the county.   On Conconully Reservoir you will find two private resorts on the lake with cabins, campsite and boat launches.  There is also a State Park right on the water here, too.  Rainbow are also abundant on the “lower” lake, as the reservoir is often referred to, and the kokanee fishing is also good.  Rainbow average 10 to 12 inches, with some carryovers to 15 inches, and kokanee average 12 inches.  Anglers can also catch brook trout and largemouth and smallmouth bass on the lake.  It is right next to down town Conconully where there are restaurants, a grocery store and other attractions.  There is an annual trout derby every opening weekend of the trout season.  Visit the Conconully Chamber web site for more information.
