A WORD FROM OUR WINNERS...

Winners of the Merc Playhouse & Methow Suites B&B Package

"Twisp is a charming and whimsical surprise nestled in the foot of the Cascade Mountains. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, from the inspiring views and comfortable beds at the Methow Suites B&B with Sandy and Bill to the outrageously good milkshakes and brioche and the Cinnamon Twisp Bakery. This little town has a great community spirit, a thriving arts collective and is an absolute pleasure to spend time in. We took in a play, Bike America at the Merc Playhouse and laughed our faces off. The Theater is small enough to be cozy but large enough to be comfortable (and it’s air conditioned too!). The staff there are wonderful and we highly recommend seeing whatever play is available should you visit the area. Twisp Works was another great exploration of art and creativity and we highly recommend it! If you venture further up the road to Winthrop stop in at the Fish Hatchery and chat with the volunteers and workers there! Their beaver relocation program is brilliant and feeding the trout was a hoot. We will definitely be back!" - Sarah & Joe

Winners of the Omak Stampede & Suicide Race and
Spectacle Lake Resort Package

"My husband, daughter and I had a great time on our weekend road trip getaway. Road trips like this are very fun for us as a family of 3. Here are some highlights:

Our daughter was only 4 months old, but we found Spectacle Lake Resort to be very family friendly and inclusive for all ages. Our daughter swam in their clean, heated pool with us for the first time ever. We enjoyed sharing meals on picturesque benches overlooking the lake. Our 2 bedroom room had an amazing view of the water, and made for a gorgeous sunrise and sunset. Spectacle Lake also had amazing camping spots, and we think it would be so fun to go back and camp as a family.

The Omak Stampede was super fun! All of the nostalgic carnival rides, the rodeo and suicide race, and plethora of food and drink options made for a fun filled evening. You could really feel the pride and spirit of the community at this event.

We enjoyed outdoor meals at Shannon's Place in Tonasket, a short drive from Spectacle Lake Resort.  It's a cute, whimsical cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely try a fresh baked cookie if you visit! We recommend the chocolate chip or peanut butter. Lots of ice cream options too, perfect for a hot summer day!

The drive from Seattle to Spectacle Lake was very beautiful. We had the pleasure of making a pit stop in the Bavarian town of Leavenworth, and enjoyed the scenery of hills, trees, and rivers on our ride to the lake.Thank you again for this trip! I will text some pictures this evening." — Barbara Kerwin
